The UAE has made a significant move in the gaming sector with the introduction of its first officially regulated lottery, The UAE Lottery, set to launch on December 14, 2024. This marks the end of previously unregulated lotteries such as Emirates Draw and Mahzooz, which have ceased operations as the country transitions to a fully regulated framework.
Under the supervision of the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), The UAE Lottery is the first authorized lottery designed to adhere to global standards for transparency and fairness. Operated by The Game LLC, this initiative promises a safer and more responsible gaming experience for residents.
The lottery offers a grand prize of AED 100 million and several additional prize tiers, including seven guaranteed winners of AED 100,000 in every draw. Tickets are priced at AED 50 and are available online at theuaelottery.ae.
Unlike earlier lotteries, The UAE Lottery is fully regulated, ensuring that all processes, from ticket purchases to winner selection, meet stringent standards. This shift aims to eliminate unregulated gaming practices and provide a legal, transparent alternative for residents.
With this development, the UAE reinforces its commitment to providing regulated, responsible gaming options. The closure of past unregulated lotteries clears the path for The UAE Lottery to become a trusted, transparent, and legally compliant option for residents.
